Ragequits

Christ, if any PvP is capable of making me mad, it has to be WoW. I remember clearly, Eye of the Storm.

"Alright im getting this flag guys, almost go- CRAP IM STUNLOC- CRAP IM FEARED! What the hell am I supposed to do with all these DoTs on m- HOLY ASS THAT SHAMAN JUST BLASTED ALL OF US OFF THE DAMN LEDGE!"

Alterac Valley

"Alright let's get across this bridge guys, come o- CRAP HE USED HOWL OF TERROR! Someone kill that mage that's spamming Arcane Bl- NO A SHAMAN! [censored] IT!"

Warsong Gulch

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"

Arathi Basin

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING?"

[censored] I can never win in that game.

Another game that I remember raging hard at is Zelda, Oracle of Ages. In my opinion, the volcano dungeon in that game makes the Water Temple look like a birthday party. Those accursed fire bats... I think I nearly broke my Gameboy Color playing that level.

I rage/fear quit Amnesia, and I've never been back. :) A combination of the terror and not being very good with a keyboard and mouse (primarily a console player) made it unbearable for me.

On a slightly related note has anyone here seen Rooster Teeth's QWOP video on their Rage Quit series? I can't post it because of bad language, but the first time I saw it I was crying by the end - seriously funny stuff.

I just ragequit with Zelda Classic a little bit ago. I was on the Fire Mountain, and was almost to where I needed to go, but was only down to a couple hearts. Well, some enemies popped up when I moved to a new screen, and I got stuck between them and some fire. I got wasted, then was sent pretty far back. Suffice to say, I was not pleased. I may attempt it again later, but it's still irritating.

I'm a terrible ragequitter at games like FIFA. I can't stand losing, so if i'm two goals down, i'll ragequit - usually by thumbing the power button on my 360 rather than disconnecting properly.

I used to be pretty bad at ragequitting in FPS games as well, and even had a key bind for disconnecting to speed up the process. I could literally anticipate something happening that would make me ragequit, and quit before the event occured (like dying at the hands of a noob).

It's pretty lame to spoil someone else's fun just because you can't handle losing a couple of times.

Well I never really rage quit...

But while playing StarCraft 2 (if you play, you know those games are [censored] intense) I often find myself so tense and focused and when I lose (in my mind it's always something cheap) I flip my [censored] and punch something. I need to get a punching bag setup, I swear I would be leaving George Foreman punch-marks all in the thing.

Also, try playing Abe's Odyssey or Exodus without throwing the controller across the room.

About a week ago I nearly through my Laptop across the room while playing Abes Odyssey.

I know, I know.... but I just can't help myself.

My friends see the funny side of it - strangers don't. I've had plenty of abusive messages (even voice messages) from angry FIFA opponents i've quit on. :P

I would probably be angry too, seeing as someone who is a bit of a sore loser has deprived me of my fairly-won victory.

BGs never really made me rage the way arena did. Me and my friends joked that the game was always working against us. Like we would fear someone, they run way the hell out of los and we could never follow up. Or we fear/silence, they resist, huge heal connects, we lose. Ugh. And losing because of class svcks.

Another rage causer - wiping/dying/losing right before the end of a long boss fight.

In Blazblue, if I'm getting my butt handed to me on a silver platter by someone who clearly wants to win more than me and I can't do anything, I'll just set the controller down and let him have his win.

The only recent game I've rage quit was Demon's Souls, it just svcks to lose thousands of souls by a cheap edge hidden in the dark. But I can stop myself from going back to that game!

I don't break controllers or anything, but if I get frustrated with a game I may shut it off and play something else for a while, and come back to it later. I see no reason to get over-emotional over losing in a video game.
