BETH should make a multiplayer game

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 4:55 pm

does anyone agree with me on this, bethesda has made the greatest games of all time, (and statisticly the best game company other than nintendo) so why haven't they MADE a multiplayer like brink but better, i liked 80% of brink (the 20% was Campaign/multiplayer fusion) i think it would be awsome for them to do it, they could make weapons from all the games on the fourm, like when u start u go from Hunted weapons to TES to brink then fallout,

thanks for moving this i did not know where to put it

Because Bethesda Game Studios makes excellent singleplayer openworld sandbox RPGs you think they'd make a good multiplayer game? Perhaps, to some extent good developement is good developement, even if BGS doesn't have much experience with multiplayer gameplay.

However, personally I'd rather they stick to amazing single player RPGs, even if they try some variation on that theme.

I suppose I consider single-player games a sanctuary from what I view as the horror of multi-player, so I'd feel rather concerned at the risk of development effort being switched towards the latter. I'd rather not see them go in that direction, personally.

I'd love to know what statistics these are. Also, their games characteristically have no multiplayer. This does not suggest to me that they will magically be awesome at multiplayer.

Agreed. You can pin your hopes on http://zenimaxonline.com/faq.html though. I have no idea what they're developing and whether it will have any connection to the BGS games, but they're working on something and time will tell us what it is.

I heard it was like Farmville, but with added mudcrabs.

Probably.

I would love a bgs multiplayer game, and I never really understood the aggression pitted against the idea but i won't really dip my fingers into that, but to be honest it would hard for them to make one that did not seem like other popular ones that already exist.

no. I for one wish other companies would stop making multiplayer games that all feel the same and can only keep the long term interest of 12 year olds.

I want to see BGS focus on Fallout 4. When they're done with that, TES VI. And after that, Fallout 5. I think you get my point.

The guys at Bethesda like making games they want to play. And judging by the fact that their two main series are open world games, for which they always reject the idea of adding multiplayer, they clearly don't want to play a multiplayer game made in their usual style.

What they really need to do is revive IHRA Drag Racing. Maybe add some talking horses. I don't know. When will I let that increasingly inside joke die? I don't know. I just don't know.

I like multiplayer games, but a lot of the time I don't want to be forced to deal with random people. I'm glad there are still game companies focusing on single-player games. Very glad.
