I was wondering if anyone knows if all(or some of) the Moderators/Admins for the Bethesda Forums are Bethesda Employees. For some reason, whenever I see a Moderator post something, I think, "That person works for Bethesda... :bowdown: ". I don't know, just curious...

Admins are employees, moderators are volunteers: most of their profiles say as much...

Edit: that probably sounded a bit snottier than I'd intended. Anyway, moderators aren't employees, they're just "forum members with some extra buttons to press", or however it was summed up.

Yup the only time you have a mod that is an employee is one that is a CSR or GMCSR that keeps an eye on the forums. They'll be the ones that deal with rogue moderators even though they are rare they do happen. *Shifts eyes around quickly looking at everyone* <_<

Ok, thanks for the info. I didn't even know there was a difference between Moderators and Admins, I thought they were just different names for the same thing! :prod: <--- wtf is this??

All the moderators (names in green) are volunteers.

All the Bethesda employees have names in orange or dark blue.

Developers of affiliated game studio's also have names in orange.

Names in red are forum administrators, they are also Bethesda employees.

Volunteers? I thought you guys get chosen.

They do. They're offered moderatorness and they can refuse it if they want. They aren't payed (Except with bric-a-brac from whatever Bethesda's newest release is) and they moderate in their spare time.

Well, that's the official story, all of us that have been here for a bit know how it really works. It involves a van and rope.

The work is voluntary, however they're appointed. They're somewhat paid in kind by receiving groovy games tat when there are new releases; other forum members don't get the groovy tat in question, sadly. Shame, really.
