Non-fiction, preferably about a topic I'm interested in like computers or economics.

I like fiction books whose setting is in the past. The writing style and dialogue in particular appeal to me a great deal.

Good stories (fictional or not) is what I like to read, though not so much fantasy anymore (lost the appetite for it some time ago). Writers like Stephen King, Irvine Welsh, Brett Easton Ellis, Michael Chrichton and Sven Hassel write stories that I like to read the most.

I also like to read about history, and books like Humanity: A Moral History of The 20th Century from Jonathan Glover.

I live my fantasy books. not like some of them that are part fantasy, but the one which is a whole different world, with all sorts of perople and monsters, and a life of it's own. Eragon is a good example.

I don't really read fiction that much. I read it sometimes, but I mostly read non-fiction. My favorite kinds of books are about history, politics and economics. My favorite kind of fiction is historical fiction.

I'll read pretty much anything, so long as it's well-written and engaging.

In general, though, I enjoy escapist fiction (fantasy; scifi), horror, natural history, and satire.
Yeah, bit of a range there, I know. >.>
