Enio Morricone's Ecstasy of Gold. I'm not going to link it, because if you don't know it, then shame on you.

Well for me, there's:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTL8NtqGdw4. The vocals are amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2k4Xgm9dDMg and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsbivRpEiS4. It's a toss up between those two for me.

And since I haven't linked anything heavy yet, have some God Module.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNA5neFNlfg The lyrics are what do it for me in this song.

Edit-Forgot something

Must represent the 1960s - artists then actually knew what melody, harmony and a good hook was.

My all-time favourite song is probably 'The Diamond Sea' by Sonic Youth.

(there's a much, much longer version of it on the album, but I couldn't find it on youtube)

I think overall my vote has to go to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eqmkgSeYjI as well as November Rain by GNR

Art of life has everything you need in a song. At 29 minutes long it is one of the longest songs ever snd is a brilliant metal song that even people who dislike metal may well like.

Some great songs so far, many of which I have never heard of, which is the point of this topic. Too introduce new music to everyone

I think they are overrated. They probablly wouldnt get half as much attention if Kobain didnt kill himself.

The soul in "What's Goin On" (Marvin Gaye) is incredible.

I like "Baba Yetu" also, with its joy. http://youtu.be/Tmut6FBx4xk
