Download Games : Othor Games

What other sites can I buy and download games from (like Steam). I'm looking for reputable companies. I'm wary as I haven't heard of most of them?

GoG and Steam are the ones I frequently use. I have never been a fan of Impulse or D2D.

GOG is probably the only other good site other than steam. I personally never used GOG but Ive heard good things about it. The only game that I want thats not on steam is http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/rollercoaster_tycoon_deluxe

Can you download games from GOG if you are in the UK? If so, that would be great as I'm itching to get my hands on some old adventure games on there.

Yes, and games on GoG are always made compatible with modern OS's so you don't have to go through all sorts of hoops before playing an old game.
