So I'm wondering-- do we always have to play the same character, or is there a level of customization? IE, race, gender, physical size (height mostly), etc? It's not entirely obvious given the synopses I've read.

Rage is not an RPG. Not a rpg as fallout. It's an open world fps.

This means you can customize the character as Borderlands or Fallout or Mass Effect.
