My Kingdom For a Medic

This could just be me but why does it seem whenever I play that there is one lonely medic trying to support the whole team?

Now this could be me simply dying time and time again through thinking I'm Schwarzenegger and blaming my team mates (who also happen to be writhing around me 'natch) but even when I'm being the best damn Soldier I can be and not rushing in like Jason Statham, I'm seeing my fairly well co-ordinated team getting taken down by rookie tactics because the lone medic has run out of supplies or can't be everywhere at once.

May I be unjust and put this down to the Medic not "having anything to do"? Is the Med such a boring class SIMPLY because you can't hold the use Key on something? Please, against a good team, majority of the time, the only reason the other classes are getting close to the Objective is because the Medic is preventing them from taking a respawned 20 mile jog everytime they fall over and graze their knee!

Who keeps a fire fight going? Who keeps the Terrorist Resistance members back for those vital seconds? Who supports against the Security in PUSHING THEM INTO THE SEA? A good Medic can seriously turn the tide of any stalemated battle, hell a good medic can be the reason why a bad team gets further than they can without one. So why am I continually seeing ONE BLOODY MEDIC running about out of breath needing an asthema inhaler?

Is it too much to ask to have at least two on every team? You don't need a whole team of Primary Classes or Engineers, nor do we need a whole team of Doctors, Team Balance is all I'm asking of people.

Good point, Beardy I definitely know what you mean, decent medics are quite rare I would say.
Medic is the last class of the 4 I tackled and I have to say it is probably the most addictive for me. It could be that some people think that medics "do not have anything to do" but then they just got it totally wrong. As has been said before, medics are just as important as the other classes.

I do enjoy playing as Op or Soldier and help do objectives but with the recent influx of players online (PS3 at least) I often play with 7 other human players and - surprise surprise - often there is not a single medic ... nada, niente, nix ... that's when I switch to medic (someone's gotta do it, right?) This does explain my recent mileage in this class but there is only so much 1 medic can do. I think a well-balanced team should feature 2 (maybe 3) decent medics.

Another great point about being a medic: random human teammates (not your regular Brink buddies) are in my experience more inclined to buff you as a medic (though sometimes not until you buffed/revived them a couple of times).
