Hey guys/girls.

Usually I can download mods for like Oblivion/Fallout3/NV at 500 or greater at kb/second. I use the nexus and I am aware that there is a 500kb cap, but recently I tried downloading a few mods and it has been 98-100 kb/second, mods that should take a few seconds are taking minutes? Anyone know how I can fix this or speed it up?

I have run virus scans and malware scans and nothing has been reported, so essentially I am clean. Only thing I can think of is the site is having problems or something.

Network speed is kind of out of your hands. It depends on the server giving you the data, and it depends on your ISP. Any number of things between them could slow down download speeds. Maybe the Nexus servers are just getting too busy, or maybe your ISP is being a sack of dirt. :shrug:

Edit: Also downloading other things at the same time can slow you down.

I also was only downloading one thing, 9 mb, took a minute and 30 sec instead of like 10 seconds <_<

This happens to me sometimes as well. Using a different server or mirror usually resolves the problem for me.

A very western issue.
