Video Card Updating

Post » Thu Aug 11, 2011 7:51 am

Hey everyone , I have a friend who was trying to play Amnesia, and he had that flickering shadows, and flipped screen fiasco happen to him. So we took google head on, and came across them telling to update video card drivers, unfortunately, we have had to luck in getting his updated, he has a

ATI Radeon 2400
Windows Vista 32-bit

Can anyone help us .. figure out how to get this thing updated, because apparently it has worked from the feedback on a few forums.
Thanks :)

Thankyou for the link, he is apparently getting a update for his Card from Toshiba, I linked him to what you sent just incase it fails.
However, he did try something from the Radeon page for his card, and system, and all that, but it said his graphics adapter was not supported,

Do you know if it's an AGP or a PCI-e card?

Just the software suite, the installer should do the rest.

If he plans on keeping the laptop much longer, you should tell him that he should consider looking for an upgrade from Vista -- Vista Home support ends in just 8 months. If he's a student there's a great discount for Windows 7 http://www.microsoft.com/student/en/us/software/windows/default.aspx

Also, if it's a laptop, you may be forced to getting drivers from the OEM's (laptop maker's) website. Some OEMs are notorious about locking down what drivers they will accept *cough* Sony *cough*. Dunno how anol Toshiba is about this, though.
