Rage is TOO BIG!

Post » Fri Aug 12, 2011 10:30 am

sorry, my sig does not match this side of the fourms.

I was looking forward to rage but i heard it will have like 3 disks and use up alot of memory (i need the #GB) so i guess i can't play it without buying that memory transfer kit and a bigger Hard Drive.
also i fear that the upcoming Skyrim will follow the same trend and I will be left in the dark. can anybody give me the stats (and express their fears too)

I thought the 3 discs was only for the 360 version so it could be playable without having to install, you just have to swap discs at certain areas.

It is mandatory to install! Only if you wish.

No,we don't have any indications that Skyrim will follow the same trend.
Actually it's highly unlikely, because the reason Rage is going to take a lot of space is because its made on the new id Software engine that uses megatexture technology.
Megatextures are the main reason the game is so big. Skyrim's engine doesn't use megatexture.

They said Skyrim is slightly smaller than Cyrodiil, but it is gonna have better textures and models. Oblivion is only 6GB so expect Skyrim to be closer to 10 GB. Then again I might be full of [censored] lol
