Abilities not worth taking

In your opinion which abilities(universal or class abilities) are not worth taking?
Or which ones can't you go with out?

Just how I personally feel but I'm pretty sure they do have their uses to others.

Universal

Sense Of Perspective - I rather be able to to move about during hacks and repairs.

Soldier

Scavenge - I never find the right time to use it as I feel the Soldier class should be on the front lines

Engineer

Nerves of Steel - Spray 'em and pray. Removing them have never had much sense to me.
___________

That is pretty much it. Most of the abilities to pick from in each class are really useful.

I'd suggest no Sprinting Grenade to be able to cancel your grenade any time.

For me, personally, with the new DLC included:

Sticky Bomb, Combat Intuition, Speed Buff, AP Rounds. (struggling to find one for Engineer as most stack up to something good)

Sticky Bomb because I find caltrops more useful, and so are EMP and UAV, so sticky bomb won't have a slot.
Combat Intuition because I'm quite capable of being able to see enemies myself 99% of the time
Speed Buff for a similar reason to Sticky, it takes up a slot for other more useful things
AP Rounds because it's pretty selfish but at the same time I dont think I ever encounter someone with a Kevlar Vest anyway (engineer will take mine, Pyro, and Turret)

The only one I can see people strongly disagreeing with there is that bloody Combat Intuition, which arguably, Sense of Perspective is less useful, I just have a gripe against C.I.
Plus the sticky bomb/caltrops argument can be pretty even.

Really? I've never been had a chance to use either.

When I took Scavenge I used it once and even that was offline, maybe I'll find a use for it in future games.

soldiers can take kevlar as a default ability.

not worth taking? depends on if you're trying to spec out a multi class character or not....
most abilities have some usage, even if it's reaaaaally situational

regardless of how i'm spec'ing, i have little use for
-tactical scanner
-sense of perspective (although it's really useful on command posts and de-hacks with engis...but less so on objectives where moving around a bit is helpful, so it cancels itself out)

and i rarely (if ever) take:
sprinting grenade, speed boost, nerves of steel, FW command post

Stick Bomb can usually secure you a kill or two if you know what your doing with it. Caltrops are more for kill assistance against large crouds, but even then is easily avoidable and only tips a gunfight in your favor slightly, which isn't always the best answer. :spotted owl:

SOLDIER: None- All of the soldier abilities are great, but satchel charges can be a bit tricky to use.

MEDIC: Adrenaline- Quite useless, considering it only lasts for about 5 seconds. Not to mention all the damage one can obtain in a measly 5 seconds.

OPERATIVE: Firewall Command Post- What's the point in adding a few more seconds on to the capture time? It's not that CPs are vital to a team's success, unless they're buffed by an engineer, which REALLY helps.

ENGINEER: Nerves of Steel- It CAN be helpful in certain scenarios, but IMHO, it never helped me out that much. So long as you have a good team to defend you for 5 seconds, you're never going to need it.

UNIVERSAL: Enhanced sensors(?), Sense of Perspective, Combat Intuition-
Enhanced Sensors (or whatever it's called) shows what buffs an enemy has; too bad the buff signs are nearly microscopic.

Sense of Perspective just allows you to look around yourself while you cap CPs, plant charges, etc. IMHO, I'd rather move back and forth to try and dodge a few bullets than sit there watching them shoot me.

Combat Intuition became utterly useless on small maps now that it doesn't alert when a disguised enemy is looking at you, so don't get it.

Combat Intuition because I'm quite capable of being able to see enemies myself 99% of the time

I've started having the same feeling about this ability too, lately I've not seen the use for this one.
