Funny rant on how easy kids have it today

Post » Sun Aug 21, 2011 2:26 pm

"You silly kids and your Holographic Video Interceptographs. When I was your age I had to actually SIT on my computer and TALK TO A WEBCAM. Now you guys just go as you please talking to miniature versions of everybody. I remember the good old days where my touchscreen 3D cell phone actually HURT my eyes! And now they're wired to you as if you were born with them. Gosh, you little kids don't know how easy you have it. I remember when I would actually talk to friends on the phone, get error pages on my internet. You guys and your holograms and 300G speed don't know the half of what it's like in the real world!"

xDDD I can just picture it now!

I have a feeling older generations are just jealous of our advanced technology that's available to use while we're still young and have plenty of time ahead of us for even more advanced technology. :whistling:

Wouldn't it be cool if 2027 did witness the events taking place in the game connected to my avatar? Let's see... I would be 32 years old and the protagonist of said game is 32 years old. Human augmentation is my generation's time to shine.

All I know is, when I'm old, I'm gonna get with the times! So my kids will be telling ME "Gosh Dad, why don't you use a webcam every once in a while? God, you keep hogging all the Holographs, mine still needs to recharge!"

On the flipside, us kids these days have to deal with pretentious advlts who stereotype and think their age provides automatic superiority..,

If growing old was so easy, everyone would be doing it..

Instead of the entire population trying to stay young until they're eighty-five..

I mean, if you've been alive since before the invention of dirt, when there were fewer continents, and people still grunted each other on the way to work.. then be proud of that!

but I regress..

Whenever I hear one of my elders insult me or my generation by saying we're lazy or we have it way easier I just ask myself one simple question...who made our generation in the first place?
