The Thread of Villainy

Post » Sun Aug 21, 2011 8:57 pm

This thread is dedicated to the fictional characters across all forms of media that all have one thing in common: To kick a hero's ass.

I present to you:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Apocmessiahwar1.png real name: En Sabah Nur

He was born in ancient Egypt and left for dead as an infant for being a freak. He was found and raised by a madman who believed him to be the prophesied warrior that would take down the Pharaoh. While this may have been true, he was much more.

Apocalypse is a genius, neither good or evil, that believes in one thing: Survival of the Fittest. He possesses a great number of innate powers as well as the ability to use any other mutant (or non mutant) power that he witnesses. He controls some of the most advanced technology that has ever existed.

Oh, and he is eternal.

Though many have tried to kill him he cannot die. Even going back in time to ensure that he never existed as Apocalypse in the first place didn't stop him.

Why?

Hear it from the man himself:

How many peoples have dreamed of my end; you are no closer than the Babylonians with their swords and fire sticks!

The old world passes away. Together, we shall forge a new one, in fire and blood. The future is transformed, I am the instrument to purify the world! The evil of human and mutant must be cut away! You shall help me tear down the old order. Those who oppose me shall perish through my agents of destruction. Famine! Pestilence! War! And my greatest creation, Death, the winged angel. From the ashes of this world, I will build a better one! Go forth my horseman! And let the chaos cleanse the world!

You have traveled over 50 centuries of time to stop me. When will you learn it cannot be done?

my self naturally

I won't do any thing, but let every one else destroy them selves and then I will come out of the shadows when all else are long and dead and claim whats left.

I'm much more of a fan of villains that aren't, you know, superpowered / eternal / ultimate evil. They aren't fun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29? Boring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joker_%28comics%29? So much more interesting!

Unless Reneer is the creator of the Joker...then no.

It's your favorite villian thread I guess.

I've always liked the http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Reaper. I like the Lovecraftian references and everything they say is badass. I especially like the conversation with Sovereign and the line "...we simply are."

I like Kane myself. Kane of Command and Conquer fame, he was a great villain.

My favorite villainous force would most likely be The Enclave from Fallout 2.

Honorable mentions for single villain: Andrew Ryan, Atlas ( Bioshock ), Frieza ( DBZ ), Cell ( DBZ ), and Pegasus. ( Yu-Gi-Oh! )

Honorable mentions for a force: The Covenant, The Beastlords ( Fallout: Tactics ), The Reapers, and The Blight.

posting here feels so improper... i am going with Darth Revan and Seto Kaiba? i don't know. Reven came to mind first, Kaiba later. or maybe i don't understand the question of this topic(which is not unlikely, as i am out of normal sleep cycle, a bit hungry at the moment, and should be sleeping right now and get up in just couple of hours from now).

Space Orks, Goff clan, under rule of http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ghazghkull_Mag_Uruk_Thraka, the Prophet of the Waaagh!

Because my son has taken control of my horde and is currently kicking the vastly outnumbered still Imperial Guard all over the place.

also, he cheats. But then, so do Orks I guess...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violator_%28comics%29 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malebolgia are pretty vile, which reminds me that the IRS should never be too far away from being mentioned in threads such as these.

The Joker is definitely up there as well.

Doomsday shall always be #1 in my book as a Villain/evil creation. He's neither good nor evil just pure unconditional hell unleashed upon the world. Whenever he is defeated he can regenerate and evolve to counter what defeated him. It's almost like a perverse form of Darwinism designed to be the ultimate killing machine. I've heard that he is also the only villain/creature to truly outright kill superman the man of steel.
