is it a surprise to anyone else this board isnt more active with the game coming out in just over a month? even the forum at gamespot is dead..some ppl gauge the interest/intent to buy by how much buzz is going on in the forums..is it a bad thing for the game that there isnt more buzz? i mean the most excitement ive seen really is the locked content some ppl have been whining and crying about..

True, it's not very active. But two weeks ago, this forum was a ghost town, activity has at the very least doubled in that short time, and it will continue to grow.

It's still summer time! Everyone is on vacation and stuff.

Well... What is there really to talk about? We don't have classes or builds to discuss. It would seem messed up if we were to talk about how we plan on killing people in the game. I'm guessing the boards will liven up once the game comes out and peeps can find cool people to do co-op stuff with.

Its a new IP so theres none of the comparison or change threads that make up a good hunk of other boards like the Skyrim board, and really theres not that much to discuss we've only seen the same few weapons and ammo types and theres not much to discuss about fps gameplay and we've got almost no info on anything else beyond a few lines about vehicles and crafting. I think we'll see more as the game comes out.

Who knows, maybe there's a thriving community of RAGE fans in other unknown forum websites

Take the Witcher 2 as an example, CDPR wanted to revamp their forums so it was unavailable for a very long time, but fans managed to find their way to the BioWare forums in the off-topic section for Witcher 2 related discussion, i think even CDPR's writer payed us visit.

Once RAGE is nearing its release or after its release, fans will be flooding this forums.

I say people are still having fun at the cottages. But once it's back to school then all the high schooler's who were gone for a bit will be back.

And once we start making and requesting mods. Should be fun ^.^

We still don't know THAT much about the game to warrant extensive discussion.

Well yeah but Bethesda keeps releasing tid bits of info add that to the whole streamlined and comparisons to the past games and theres not a whole lot of meaningful discussion going on, all the new info is very minor details like theres a slider that can adjust your weight not much to talk about.
