Now that is an impressive building, weird as heck but memorable, looks a bit like a cross between a prison and a wizard's tower  I can imagine Saruman standing at the top there :hehe:

 I have all ways thought of buildings as carcasses, I find the manner in which they are constructed to meet any style irrelevant.

it's be nice to have some flavor in the housing, yeah. but than again, i live in a house that is pretty much same kind of a house as the rest of the street, so i guess when it comes down to it, i am not really that concerned with it? i don't know. and i don't like houses to be too flashy or too big inside. seems like a waste of space if the inside is big. and the outside being so flashy... yeah, wow factor is nice and it look impressive, but in the end it just feels "off". maybe i am just not used to the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

and this is almost unrelated, but when i was a child, i made out of Legos(or Lego-like blocks) a house-castle. my grandfather looked at it, had plenty of nice to say about it, said i should be an architect because of how good it was and i had talent. i wonder if i should have invested more thought into it. kind of not that easy to picture myself as an architect though; those guys do more than just draw up a picture or a sketch or something and i am not building expert, having never built anything that is in any way even close to a dog house, much less a house and having only taken drafting for like, a semester or two or so.

I don't know much about architecture, I think modern buildings are fine as long as they don't ruin the surrounding landscape. For instance, one of the ugliest buildings in my city also happens to be the only skycraqer which means it's the tallest building...
The result is http://fr.hotels.com/images/122160/photos/city/510339_Nantes_France.jpg. It doesn't look too bad in that picture, but trust me this brown skyscraqer looks really stupid. It's just too tall. Too brown. And too ugly. It just doesn't fit in its landscape, in my opinion.

I wish they tore that building down :/

Yeah that looks ugly

I like, Gothic/Victorian buildings, anything ancient Roman/Greek and most cathedrals look epic when your inside and out, they just make me feel so small with their open spaces, high roofs and all the stone carvings. Some modern buildings are rather nice looking but some just seem to be getting ridiculous

Renaissance and Baroque architecture styles are lovely. I've studied some art history, and architecture is definitely one of the more interesting aspects of that. :) Not really all that concerned with modern architecture, doesn't interest me at all. I like looking at pretty historical buildings, and that's about it. :P
