Ok, so when i go to main menu i click on continue, ive also tried load option, the wheel just keeps spinning and spinning and never stops so i cant load a game. please help

That's why I do multiple saves, I had the same problem happen to me. Unfortunately the only way around it for me was to start fresh, sorry. Someone more seasoned may have a better solution, if not then next time you play do periodic saves. Whenever you go home to resupply and do inventory isn't a bad time, odds are if you have 5 saves 1 of them will work.
