Which of these names is the best?

Post » Sun Sep 18, 2011 7:20 pm

I pretty much like all of these names equally for what I have planned for them, but I want you guys to help me pick which one I'm going to end up using in the end. I'm going to be using the name for a lot of things, so I want it to be a good one that everyone likes.

Thomas O'Malley!

I kind of meant from the list in the poll. I would've considered Thomas if that wasn't my dad's name though.

So what are we naming exactly? I need context. Is it a newborn, is it your secret identity, are you gonna steal some poor O'Malley's identity?

This is a name for a character in a futuristic city role-play, which I will also probably use for all my future Fallout characters,

Well in that case, Winston Smith.

I chose Brandon because I bet its your favorite since you placed it first (although I'd go with Brendan if I were looking for something Irish since Brandon is an English name).

Actually, for stereotypical Irish names I like Patrick.

I chose Brandon, not my favorite name, but it goes well with the surname.

Raymond though? There's only one thing that springs to mind: "Ray-Ray," and I loathe that nickname for some reason.

They're actually just in alphabetical order. Patrick is actually my name, but I don't really think it fits with the O'Malley surname. The poll makes me lean towards Francis.

Francis would have been my second choice, given the option.

Francis is the best. Most of the other names are boring, except Raymond and Conan. Conan O'Malley brings to mind Conan O'Brien. Raymond is just a dorky name. Francis has the most potential.

I chose Francis O'Malley because of the nickname. I always find that the easiest way to pick a name for something is to imagine the nicknames for your choices. Frank O'Malley sounded better then the others.

You just reminded me! My first ever character in Werewolf ( the forum game ) was named Patrick O'Malley. Weird.
