Ive never sold a single copy of my DOOM games to a gameXchange store.
But I have heard that Bethesda or ID is limiting their recognition of my license.
Ive heard that, If i sale my game to a GameXchange, the next player must pay additional fee's to activate the full license? or what ever the details are?
Traded in copies do not work like originals.
Is this correect? in any way or limitation?
because, if I purchase a license, and you are denying my ability to trade in my lisence for another lisence.
This wll be the first ID game I will be happy to not buy. If this is indeed true.
while its true that, Ive never bothered to trade in an ID game (Because they are just that high quality). if the company is going to revoke or limit my ability to do so.
I no longer value the product. its that simple.
it comes down to this.
make quality products, People buy them.
if your game isnt good enough to bring early sales (Before trade ins happen, maybe your in the wrong business) (Which has never been ID's case).
Is this correct?
can someone please explain the limitations and details of tradeing in or resaling my game copy ?
Ill be happy to purchase the game, if my license is not limited. Ill be happy to purchase OTHER games instead, that do not follow the same limitations.
TBH, I was really only buying Rage because of my long time support for ID software. not because it looks that fun. (The engine is amazing, the game type itself is showing its age).
put the engine to great use, I hope. Ill keep an eye on license limitations.
I dont buy limited demo products. (too many other great, full options available) even if there wernt,
If a company is going to reneg and charge twice for one license (Thats no longer used by player1, upon transfer to player2), then ill make sure to only buy second hand copies, so the company doesnt get away with full price ++ Charges.
I hope im incorrect.
let this questionair confirm for myself and others
