Ace of Spades

The game Ace of Spades (found here: http://ace-spades.com/ ) is a Capture the Flag-type shooter game. It is most similiar to Minecraft, Team Fortress, and Red Orchestra. Anyone here play it? My username is Texnshasta in-game.
Edit: wow, I really came off as a spambot there. Sorry about that.

Similar to Minecraft, Team Fortress and Red Orchestra... so... base-building FPS with destructive environment? :P

Yep. Minecraft because of the blocks and bases, Team Fortress because of the CTF, and Red Orchestra because the weapons are powerful.

Found this interesting actually. I can imagine myself playing this...if the other BGSF Minecraft players do decide to play it.

Used to play this months ago and I see they've added different weapons now. The game had some problems, though.
Matches felt pointless very quickly, as they went on indefinitely and there was very little incentive to actually capture the intel. It usually wasn't very hard to capture anyway unless the enemy got a lucky random placement (say, on a small island in a lake) or the intel had gone uncaptured for so long the teams had the chance to dig out half the map around it to ground level. Lack of autobalance often led to annoyingly unbalanced teams (20 on your side and 5 on ours? Yes, that's fair << ) and maybe I just always chose the wrong server (not that there were all that many to choose from) but at least a quarter of the players at any given time would be writing obscenities around the map, and another quarter would be too busy cursing and yelling at them to play

Other than that the game was a lot of fun. Very dynamic. I might try it again if things have improved.
