Anarchy Edition... cheating?

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 2:52 am

After reading the book, and knowing that the main character used a piece of crap buggy, and knowing that the Anarchy Edition, gives you a modded buggy and different armor, do you feel as though this is cheating? I do. You also have the double barrel shotgun and the fists of rage, which to me seem both better than what you are given without this "upgrade"..

Discuss.

I guess you don't use these items then?

I don't see it as cheating as I'm sure they won't be useful for long against more powerful enemies :)

to me its not cheating....having a slight avantage is good in the single player campain...having a game hack is cheating...(or a lag switch is cheating...)

it gives you maybe a few percentage point advantage its not like they give you access to late tier armor. Though that would be awesome :obliviongate:

Not really most pre order bonuses aren't useful beyond the first few hours look at those for fallout new vegas both the weapons and armor are obsolete a few levels in if you haven't run out of ammo for them or had your armor destroyed they did help early on but not much, or Deus ex the money was kinda maybe useful I never had money issues to begin with since I sold so much stuff but I guess you could get a few weapons or mods or 2 praxis points faster but again it doesn't change anything same with the weapons they all have in game counterparts that are arguably better, the double barrel shotgun small clip no mods regular shotgun large clip lots of mods, silenced sniper rifle bolt action slow rof less damage regular sniper rifle high rof more damage not silenceable so kinda a wash but really dependant upon play style. Its no more cheating than getting lucky and finding good loot in an rpg or picking up a high ranked guys weapon in a multiplayer game.

It'll probably help out in the first bit of the game to some extent but it's definitely not a game changer.

pretty much, this.

I was thinking of FNV when i saw this thread..
The calssic pack wasnt worth jack pas maybe the first battle in Goodsprings.
This is gonna be the same.

whats more, Id has said countless times that they give you the weapons that are the best for each mission before the mission.
So whats gonna be better, a *free* double barrel shotgun, or a weapon that's tailored to whatever your objective is?

I would have to imagine if you can change out cars, weapons and armors, you could probably downgrade yourself if you wanted to.
