I think I've..pulled something..

*Disclaimer: I am not asking for professional medical advice here, I know you people aren't doctors, this is more of a discussion and "what do you think" type thing, my opinion is my own and what you say won't change it. Also, the word "testicles" might come up once or twice in this thread. Stop being immature. It's not a bad word, and it's not funny.

So, 8 years ago when I was in middle-school (good grief that's depressing) I was 15 and doing a lot of weight lifting for football. I ended up doing some squats in the school gym one day, I think the weight was around 480 LBS. Yeah probably too much, I agree. But I was a zealous man trying to impress people. Nuff' said.

So, while lifting, I strained really hard and at the time of pushing at my max, I noticed a little feint.."snip"..somewhere "down there". Not my dice, but the tubes connecting them into the back wherever they go to do their thing. It just felt like it was being tugged on and then..snap. Felt like it broke.

Turns out, they didn't break, because after intense pain in my groin for over 2 weeks I finally had to tell my parents that I was in excruciating pain down there. So, I went to the doctor, and turns out I had caused http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epididymitis. Any man who has worked out and done the same thing knows how excruciatingly painful this is, and it's apparently pretty common when you strain too hard during lifting or any other activity. The doctor gave me some sort of medicine and I was on my merry way, and a few weeks later it had completely gone away.

Well, fast forward 8 years (4 days ago) and I'm helping my dad move our stuff out of a storage unit. I picked up a huge chair in an awkward way because it was far too heavy to lift normally, and not really thinking I just kinda lifted with my back and uh..snap. The same "feeling". Although, I didn't really notice it. But the next day, it started aching, the exact same way that it did 8 years ago. Now the pain has started yesterday, the same pain I felt 8 years ago when I didn't do anything about it.

My question is, do you think this is a similar thing? Have I done the same thing to myself? I'm not really asking for medical advice but the dilemmna I'm in is that I don't have medical insurance anymore. If i go to the doctor right now, it'd more than likely cost a thousand dollars that I don't have as it would require me to get an Ultrasound on my groin. I don't have 1000 dollars. :(
