I had Skyrim pre-ordered from amazon before I heard about Bethesda suing a small game developer over the use of the name "Scrolls". I've been a fan of the series for a long time but these types of lawsuits are something I feel strongly against, and have since canceled my pre-order. I know these types of decisions are not really controlled by game developers, but by lawyers that encourage their companies to make poor decisions to ensure they get paychecks.
Is there something huge that I've missed about this case so far? I can't honestly believe that Bethesda thinks they are protecting themselves. Nor is it possible to believe that they think having a generic word like scrolls in the title of a game will attract gamers that played the Elder Scrolls. I'd really like this lawsuit to go away. Just the two cents of a fan,
-Ben
