Falling BACK in love...

Since the update when the Gerund was pretty much nerfed, I've spent a lot of time with the other ARs. The Rockstedi had become my staple for long range fighting with my medium Op/Engi, and the Euston was the AR of choice for my Soldiers due to the high ROF and stopping power it has. But recent for my "jack" character, I experimented with the Gerund again, and I have to say...whatever nerfs they did to the gun didn't really change it. I find that the spread is still flawless compared to the other full auto ARs, and using burst fire can easily compensate for the drop in it's accuracy, as I use burst fire regardless of what AR I'm using. (You pretty much have to use burst fire with the Euston, otherwise your bullets will hit everything BUT your intended target.) Before the patch, the Gerund was my workhorse, as evident in my stats with it, well over 56 hours of my 214 of gameplay is with the Gerund, more then any other gun. Even in it's weakened state, I feel it's still the best AR of the bunch, for my playing style at least. I don't do a lot of running and gunning, I pick my shot judiciously, and engage when I know I'm going to take the enemy down. I abandoned it post patch, but after spending time with it again and seeing what it does and what it doesn't do anymore, the pros of the gun still outweigh the cons IMO. I might be swapping the ARs for my other mediums and heavies back to the Gerund. Still an awesome mid to long range AR. At close range, it's lack of damage and slower ROF compared to the full auto ARs might put it at a disadvantage, but for a long range shooter like myself, it's hardly anything more then a small oversight.
