I have been reading in all the reviews that JC has said that they probably won't release a Dedicated Server option for the PC version of Rage . Thats disturbing to me , I like so many other gamers, love having the option of setting up our own servers either for fun or privacy .
I am sure all of us have played FPS games that got over run by hackers and cheaters on public company sponcered servers and the only way to play in peace was to have a password protected dedicated server to play on with your friends and practice for Tourny's in peace. .
I really want a dedicated server option for this game , it looks awsome so far and I personally don't want to have to go through yet another log on option to play a game. I mean like Batman Arckham Asylum where you have to log on to Steam and the Windows Live network just to play a single player game ? Don't get me wrong , Steam is great for downloadable content and ordering games that they offer but for each log on or server connection that usually means more hops and more possiable security breaches to our personal info. Atleast if I am running my own server I have a little control over who I play, when I play them and what maps I am playing on demand. Not to mention weapons restricted sort of events . I wouldn't mind seeing a map/Mod editor released as well.

I pre Ordered the game and I am looking forward to playing but I sure would love a dedicated server option.
