What should I ask for, for my birthday?

I'm turning 17 tomorrow and I literally have no idea what to ask for.

Then ask for money that you can save.

Say you want nothing...because you know of this poor little boy named Xetirox who has no money, no family, no food, lost all of limbs in the Gulf War, and was a victim of a viral strain of carpal tunnel syndrome. And that you want nothing more than whatever money would be spent on your birthday to go to him, so he can have just one day of happiness. Or to at least get him something nice, like a new video card, or Dark Souls, or a big screen HDTV. Will you do that me him? :P

Ask them to help you finance a trip backpacking in Europe or Asia for a couple of weeks. Or some kind of short vacation study abroad program.

That is a pretty cool experience at 17, or any age.
