Which Anti-Virus?

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 11:48 am

Yesterday, Avast! Anti-Virus blocked a website for me because the website tried to give me malware or something. On my other computer, I have Microsoft Security Essentials. I'm just wondering, does Microsoft Security Essentials block webpages like Avast! does?

Also, which is a better anti-virus: Microsoft Security Essentials or AVG Free Anti-Virus?

1. No, MSE does not block websites, it can, however, quarantine driveby downloads, but that's the extent of it's real-time capabilities pretty much

2. MSE is leaps and bounds better than AVG. AVG went down the crapper with 8.0 and gotten progressively worse every year since.

I run Microsoft Security Essentials as my AV and Comodo firewall (disabling Windows Defender). They seem to work pretty well together. Though on my laptop I keep it only to MSE and it works great too.
