I just got the BETA yesterday for BF3 and im blazing through that with about 48+fps haven't gone under 45 fps yet and thats running everything on ultra or at highest possible settings AA and everything at 1366x768 thats the highest my monitor can go (it was a free 21" dell flat screen from a friend, not gonna pass that up!). anyways Im sure im gonna easily be able to run this at max settings but its just i love my frames per second haha and its always fun trying to get them to go as high as possible. my newest rig i finished building about a month ago which consist of:
-Cooler Master HAF 912 (case)
-AMD Phenom ii x4 965 be 3.4ghz (OC 4.1ghz) w/ hyper 212 cooler
-MSI 890GXM-G65 (mobo)
-Sapphire Radeon 6870 1gb
-8gb's of DDR3 G.skill ripjaws 1333mhz
-500gb WD cavier greed HD
-windows 7 ultimate
-Antec High Current Gamer 750w

since its completion ive been addicting to over clocking it and just pushing its limits and i want to do that in every game possible. like in BF:BC2 on heavy metal (the huge F****** map) i run at a steady 75+fps. But as much as i want to i dont know if i wanna spend about another $180 for a second Radeon 6870 for Crossfire-X anyone have any OC addictions like me to help me decide if i should buy another GPU or not! in the research ive done the Radeon 6870 in xfire actually out performs a GTX 580 in almost every benchmark thats 1 plus for me to buy it but i cant think of any negative reasons why i shoudlent buy it.

There's a topic already about hardware for http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1223431-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-rage-thread-2/ However I'm running a similar setup (the difference being my X6 processor) but I don't think we'll have any trouble playing rage. I doubt we'll be able to max it out totally (I strugged with around 20 FPS maxing out crysis 2 at 1900 res with all the extra texture stuff and DX11), but it'll look good. The only issue I see with you upgrading is maybe your PSU not being able to handle 2 6870's, but I'm not the best person to ask about it. Try asking http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1233177-the-community-tech-thread-no-107/ about if your PSU could deal with another 6870 at load.

Get a nicer monitor first.
