Should I get Rage or BF3? : Othor Games

Hi, names Hippnotic. Fellow forum goer and fanatic of the FPS genre. Lately I've been missing a big black hole of a void in my gaming life and entertainment. All I've been playing is REACH.

So now that I have a job I want to get a new game, besides well.. you know... SKYRIM and that jazz. I'm a big fan of Battlefield. I've played 4 of their games, and am playing in the BF3 Beta and loving it.

BUT, ever since EA took over DICE's brains and all that.. the game gets rushed and TRIES to live up to the hype, etc. And I had several issues with my gamertag and Bad Company when it came to VIP status to a certain weapon from Vet status... I had hellish hours spent trying to resolve them with EA.

I still <3 BC2 though.

Anyway, onto Rage. I've played Borderlands, Fallout, Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, list goes on and on...

It looks rather interesting in some aspects. Multiplayer is lame though.. basically Twisted Metal in a sense. Overall the game looks really fun to play though, story/campaign.

Which would be a better buy for someone with my kinda budget?

I would suggest Rage, cause it's by ID software, the one who made Doom

True this.. BUT

They also partook in making BRINK, at least helping a lil bit or w/e. And where is that game now? Hasn't updated the Community in almost 2 months now going on. Thus why I eventually gave up. HELL they did..

BF3. Rage looks like it will be decent, but not amazing. BF3, even with the Battlelog BS and all the current bugs is still amazing.

They also partook in making BRINK, at least helping a lil bit or w/e. And where is that game now? Hasn't updated the Community in almost 2 months now going on. Thus why I eventually gave up. HELL they did..

id Software had no part in the development of Brink.

Wasn't that Splash Damage?

When you load up BRINK it clearly shows Splash Damage, Bethesda, and iD software. I don't own the game anymore but my lil bro does.. I'll have to look tomorrow but im 90% certain they chipped in.

And about the Battlelog BS.. I already know bro. I don't listen/read crap there anymore. My gut instincts kicked in and told me I HAD to get BF3. But Rage has been poking at the back of my brain to, and it's about to come out isn't it?

I think the only reason it mentions id Software is because Brink is using the id Tech 4 engine.
