20 years of id Software

Video http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/eurogamer-expo-2011-sessions-20-years-of-id-software?size=hd.

It's about 30 minutes and shows a quick overview of the games by ID Software. He (Tim Willits) then goes off to show RAGE (though the gameplay itself isn't much new, it's really just Tim Willits using the pistol to shoot a lot of mutants).

However, a very cool thing: he shows a secret room in the end, that looks exactly like Wolfenstein but in Rage! And when he goes out of the room you get the point that they show the technical evolution from Wolfenstein to Rage.
I recommend checking the video out :)

Okay, so I paused the video just to say this. I got serious chills and a major adrenaline rush by just watching the timeline segment before Willits walked in. AMAZING.

Thanks for posting that, OP.

id Software is an amazing developer without whom the videogame industry would be very different today.

Also, Carmack is legend.
