Anyone have Experience w/ Amazon Preorders?

Post » Tue Oct 04, 2011 9:40 am

Anybody preorder from Amazon and choose the .99 release day shipping?

Will it make it to my house on time?

I'm checking the status and the item is being prepped to ship now. So that means .99 overnight shipping?

Anyone have any previous experience with Amazon?

I've also ordered with release date shipping from Amazon before and got the game on time, you should be good.

Pre-ordered from amazon UK and always got the game the day after release, so not good reports from me...

However Game UK is gr8, next day delivery is guaranteed to get to you 1-2 days prior to release date.

I often buy from Amazon (Amazon UK). Eg. I preordered Gears of War 3 and chose "super saver delivery" (est. 7-10 days delivery, but free) and got it 3 days after release :D

I also pre-ordered it from there, no worries here. I've ordered stuff from amazon many times and used their release date delivery and have never had an issue, it always comes on the release date. it does in fact only cost .99 and it's overnight, i'm not sure how they do it. Maybe it's their way of trying to keep up with stores you can just drive to and pick it up. Amazon also doesn't charge sales tax (at least to people in my state) and because sales tax is so high where i live i always end up spending less on amazon.

As long as you make sure you order from Amazon and not other resellers listed on Amazon (eg. gZoop and/or other users) you should be safe.

Ive cancelled my Amazon UK preorder and choose another retailer in Hungary where i live since they wouldnt send it before 10-18th Okt. Could pay as much for shipping as the game itself than i would get it in 3 days from lunch. We dont Amazon HU, still i buy it for 26 GBP (9k HUF) which is cheaper than the price at your country's webshop.

Yep. And the shipping information won't update till it is already delivered. FYI.

Yikes! Looks like I'll spend 2-morrow pacing, looking out the window & chewing my nails till it gets here!
