I've convinced my father that spending some time playing a co-op games would be a lot more fun and social than me and him just watching TV or a Movie.
I have an Xbox 360, but almost no games. He's never touched a game in his life (well, angry birds on his iPhone), and it'll take time for him to get used to a controller.

I was thinking Portal at first, as he's not really interested in shooting people. But from what I can remember Portal eventually needs some pretty good reaction and controller skills, which could be a problem. Still, I might get that.
Maybe a good platformer? Preferably something that's somewhat easy, I know he'll just not want to keep playing if it's too hard for him to get into.

Ideas?
