WHY????? Mutants disappear after dying???????

when you kill a bandit or an AUTHORITY-soldier the dead-body stay there in the ground ,,,,, but when you kill a MUTANT... their corpse disappear after 3 seconds

I know is imposible to the cpu/gpu when you kill 15 mutants to have 15 mutants-corpses in the ground ..... but just the 2 or 3 last mutants you kill can stay.

IT will be GREAT if id make a patch to fix this in the 3 platforms (PC,XBOX,PS3)

Indeed, this is an incredible game breaking issue that must be resolved immediately or I quit life. I paid 60 pounds for this, and I want my money back. John Carmack is swimming in my 60$ right now and the monsters disappear! Design is law!

Disappearing body's are so game breaking right?
Right guys?

Honestly now, every little issue is getting picked at, its like no other game ever had this in it right?

I don't think it is a design flaw. I'm not sure but I'll bet that story wise there is a reason they dissolve. They wouldn't let Bandit and Authority corpses stay and not mutants by mistake.

I think is a mistake because the GREEN-MUTANT with BEES dont disapear, his corpse stay there like bandits and authority

I LOVE the ART-direction of RAGE !

Specially ENEMIES and NPC

and I think they can make a PATCH in the 3 platforms to fix this, and make that the last 2 or 3 muttants you kill stay in the ground

IM playing in XBOX360 maybe is only and xbox-version error?

I noticed this too, but never thought much of it. I just thought it was part of the game, because they are different types of enemied......

You can loot bandits and the authority, so there's a reason for them to stick around. You can't loot mutants as far as I've found yet (and I've found bunches of them) so there's no reason to waste memory keeping their corpses around.

This seems like the most probable reason. OP, you'll just have to deal with it (the bodies disappearing) ! Some compromises had to be made.

this reason of memory waste is STUPID imagine that all the enemies disapear after 3 seconds included bandids and authority because the memory waste . . . . . . it svckS

if the game-engine can handle 3 or 4 dead authority soldiers bodies you think it CANT handle the las 2 or 3 MUTANTS you KILL

I KNOW this is a small think, but small thinks are the great thinks....in live,surf,and games !

Yes that's right. I also believe they throw a lot of them at you in waves in some parts. It make no sense to have an area start piling up with bodies, it will just bog the system down.

I understand that when you kill 7 or 8 mutants the RAGE-ENGINE CANT handle 7 or 8 dead mutants bodies with their ragdoll physcis,etc .....

but i just saying the engine can perfectly handle and stay in the ground the last 2 or 3 dead mutant bodies you kill ,,,,like it does with the bandits and the authority

for example my solution : 5 MUTANTS come to me, I kill them,,,,, the first 3 I kill can disapear, but the last 2 bodies can stay

Personally I would like to have all dead bodies stay on the ground forever, at least until I leave that area.
I think they should add an option to allow you to configure how many reads bodies are left on the floor at one time. Or I hope it can be tweaked in config files like Crysis.
