Why does one have to be a "PC Gamer" or a "Console Gamer"? Believe it or not I use both. Yet the most hypocritical vitriol is spewed daily back and forth over one of the biggest non-issues of the day. Instead of discussing the merits of the game it is always "PC graphics are better therefore you svck because you play console!" or some version. I am sure that many out there can attest that it takes money to constantly update a system for each new game. I like the fact that all I have to do to play games on my Xbox is to put it in the disk tray and push start. I don't have to worry about my RAM, is it a quad core processor?, Video memory and etc. etc. etc.
Now I enjoy playing on my PC to. I have a 'heavily' modded Oblivion game that I have been playing forever and prefer playing Oblivion on my PC because of the Mods. I also enjoy the Total War series from Creative Assembly. But I will not take someone to task if they prefer the vanilla game on console. That's their preference. My way of playing the game doesn't HAVE to be their way in order for me to feel important in life.
And now that Skyrim is about to be unleashed the imaginary, and stupid, battle-lines have been drawn once again all over a forum. And I am certain I will get replies decrying my blasphemy at even the suggestion that a gamer can enjoy both platforms, but that's just the way I feel.
Peace!
Sincerely,
A Personal Console Gamer.
