I've been an iD software fan since Wolfenstein 3D and I'd like to personally thank Carmack and his software team for this game. John you truely still are a visionary when it comes to FPS and I was very confident you would pull through with this title in particular. Thanks for providing the most fun FPS I have played in years. You have beaten all current titles with this game. I've played Call of Duty online, Halflife2 Deathmatch derivitives / mods, almost all iD software games and RAGE stands out above all. I am very happy with how seamless this game is, the loading times are very fast, the action is fast paced and exciting with this new world to explore. The racing element is cool and you can jump out of the vehicle and defend yourself (mine doesn't have guns just yet). This game is nothing short of amazing.

And best of all, it didn't require a huge leap in hardware upgrade. It just runs excellent off of what I have already (I read in another thread this game doesn't support SLI, impressive since I have SLI enabled and this game made me turn on vsync).

Awesome game, awesome work. Again, Carmack, you are the master and a true visionary of FPS titles. I'm glad to see iD software is #1.

Indeed. I was getting REALLY bored with my current FPS titles and so bored that I could only stand playing maybe a few rounds before exiting those programs (they aren't iD games though so to shed some light anyway). But yeah things these days have been a bit hellish and this game makes life more fun.
