so when you do the first mission you're supposed to get armour... but the guy didn't give it to me... anyone else have this happen?

I thought the same thing. He actually does give it to you, you just automatically put it on and it doesn't say that you did. Kinda strange, but if you go to your stats you can see you're wearing it.
