This may belong in the ps3 technical thread but I figured it was more general discussion. So here's the story. I usually play all my single player game signed out of PSN, I do this because games run smoother for some reason. For instance when playing fallout 3 I was having some freezing issues until I decided to sign out, then it worked fine. With Rage I started playing lastnight, I was signed out and eveythjng went fine, no texture popping or anything. Tonight I logged in to sync trophies and I noticed when I played rage I was getting quite a bit of texture loading, even the Rage menu was blurry at times, that was odd, I had no clue why all of a sudden this was happening. It's no big deal to me. I'm enjoying this game more than any other game is played in a while. Little things like this do not bother me at all. It was just weird that it started. Then I remembered I was logged in, so I signed out of the network and the problem stopped. It went back to the way it was lastnight. So for any of you that have a problem with this I would say sign out then try it. The texture pop doesn't vanish but it really does make it less noticeable. Try it out, test it, it works for me and I would recommend it to anyone who has this problem and can't get past it.

Post your results here. I really can see the difference. If I played signed in all the time the texture thing would probably get on my nerves. I hope this helps someone.

Anyway what a great game. Shocked at the negative feedback. No offense but you got to be on something if you think this game svcks. Everything we all can ask for is delivered in a nicely wrapped package. Every game can be picked apart but I think this one does not deserve it. I'm not sure what the pc users are upset about but from what I hear it is legit, but it's not to legit to quit. Unfortunately almost every game that comes out these days has problems to the point of being able to not even playing it. It's part of gaming today. We want the better games and the better graphic, we want the game to be made in 6 months so we are gonna get games with a few problems. Can you imagine if on October 1st they said Rage will be pushed back to november to fix minor problems. It would be a riot out here. All I'm saying is games are released with bugs and problems, for the most part they get fixed. I'm sick of seeing all these horrible comments about Rage. If these people had something valid to complain about I'd get it. But with a game like Rage that is absolutely breathtaking it's ridiculous. Like I said I'm not including pc users, I'd be mad also if I was one and couldn't even play the game in some cases.

If you are browsing the forums trying to decide if Rage is worth picking up please don't base it on tedious texture problems. Believe me and the other true fans on here that have been here for a while, it'll blow your mind. You will get spoiled and want every game to looks this way. Oh ya and the fact that the game is freaking awesome.
