Why RAGE is the best FPS shooter (gameplaywise) EVER

While the graphics and some design decisions may be outdated or just plan old. The AI is a WAY ahead of its time. Whether its the animations, the interactions with the environmental, or the way melee enemys bob/ weave and flank. or ranged enemys retreating to regroup with other teamates onstead of just waiting for you to advance on them. AI behavoirs transform the gameplay from just a shooters to the best FPS gameplay EVER. No other game's AI comes even close (except mabye fear 1, which comes pretty close)

I feel like i should note that im playing the 360. my first playthrough was on normal and i spent 16 hours pretty much doing everything including raceing. Now im on nightmare about 7 hours in. (why is the dead city so #$%& scary.....)

also if you have this game on 360, please tell me you jacked up the super low sensativity.....

indeed ... when the issues are gone , people who didn't expect an open world game will start to appreciate it, people who expected an open world game have no idea who ID Software is , ignorants that can't see the difference between Bethesdsa Softworks (publisher) and Bethesda Game Studio (developer).

i don't play RPGs and if this game was open world i just wouldn't be here in the first place - im just simply not interested in wondering around hunting some spices and flowers with leveling up slowly a new boot and belt buckle and 205877 versions of chest armor , listenting to emotional stories of virtual characters , i have real life friends i don't need virtual robots and ... boobs.

Fallout is long because it's RPG, those games are ment to take that long because the pace is slower, it's how they decide to make it too, imo quantitiy does not mean quality.

The take on the open world thing is probably due to limitations is FPS to explore area out of main combat just as a CURIOSITY ...

but open world games are part of RPGs , it's a NAME , it's not really what i look at it, i don't want to go all over the place i just want those INVISIBLE WALLS to go away.

currently it's Open World , it has RPG specific things that a real FPS would.

I always looked at RAGE as the perfect blend , "FPS with more space to walk and less" , RAGE is more open , but it's not Open World


That's why i don't play MW and BF3 - i hate "WARNING
But i don't want an Open World game to fix this , Open World is wrong , it's RPG, that's where Crysis comes in , Crysis Warhead seems more closed(outsourced)

I have always wanted this and i hope RAGE is what i think it is. Just more navigational space and the invisible wall hateoprenia will go away, and i don't care if same areas are used more than once, it's an adventure feature and i like that because Zelda and Metroid is the same, you visit some places more than even 3 times. It doesn't make the game dull, it's how it's needs to be, does your live include visiting different location on the world every day ... so if you run out of earth space you go to moon.

Open World is just not a fix for FPS invisible walls thing , not at all , stop mixing this stuff, it's completely different, RAGE is an adventure way more than an RPG and that's the reason im playing it.

All those RPG guys never played those nintendo games, trolls to stop expecting RPG from RAGE and shut the hell up.
