I believe you should stop locking threads because of an opinion. I have had two "Skyrim" (let's add some relevance) threads locked today because of this. The first one was a post discussing Bethesda's reaction to the supposedly leaked Skyrim map. Pretty legitimate, right? Nope. It was locked because the mod said "he doesn't see the point of it". The other thread I had locked was a link to a funny article, that stated Skyrim was released months ago. I thought me saying we all missed the release of the game would be funny! And it was. We were all joking around with it until a mod, probably in a bad mood, locked the thread because "it is dumb". This nonchalant approach to locking threads is leading people to possibly withhold important information, because the person would believe "oh, my thread will just be closed down." This is my opinion. I know I will be attacked for posting blasphemy such as this, but I think people should be aware. Oh, and I do realize this thread will be closed upon posting.
