Battlefield 3 borrowing from Brink?

Post » Tue Oct 11, 2011 8:09 am

I don't know who all on here has played the Battlefield 3 beta, but it seems like they stole some movements from Brink. Specifically anytime you climb over an obstacle. It just feels like I am playing Brink everytime i climb over something. Kudos to SD for changing the FPS genre for the better. :flamethrower: ..........mmmmmm....kudos are good......

You know, every time I jumped over something in the beta, I kept thinking. "This is familiar.... Where have I seen this before?" I didn't come to think about Brink, granted I only played the free-play time on Steam during that weekend once. But still, I'd say there's a bit of borrowing there. :P

Yeah haha, I've even tried to slide-tackle enemies in BF3 just because I was thinking it was like Brink :teehee:

Yeah I noticed that too. Felt clunkier than Brink though. Hopefully games start taking the initiative SD did and start implementing more freedom of movement.
