Where do you hope the next GTA installment will take place?
I Personally I hope in the LA area.

I wouldn't mind a GTA set in south America. But then again Max Payne 3 is going to be set in South America soo...

Maybe Washington?

I just want the area to be large if not bigger than San Andreas but have the same stuff in it.
For example the gym and eating too much that caused you to get fat. Having your hair cut and pimping your car up was all pretty cool.

I'd really like to revisit Vice City, but as long as it's not an obnoxious 'herp derp im so gangsta' game like San Andreas, I'm okay with it. I'd also like Rockstar to take a few notes and take a few steps back from IV, it was a detailed world, but the giggly humour was replaced with a more stark humour, which was never GTA's style. (Barring 1-2 moments in previous games)

I'd like it to be London, but it's going to be San Andreas again. R* were hiring voice actors for a game set in modern LA a while ago, the only other thing it could be is Midnight Club LA 2, but the characters seemed more like they'd fit in the GTA universe.

Rockstar puts a lot of money and time into their games. Im assuming it will release in 2013.

They've done Vice City and Liberty City twice each now and I'm bored of revisiting the same places over again.

London has been done already as well (PS1) and I hope its not San Andreas again, it would kill the original game I loved :/
Since the games can hold more how about they try making the whole of the UK, since they originated here there could be a bunch of cool easter eggs and their HQ in Dundee (IIRC)

London in a top down game from 1999 and in a full 3D game from 2012 would be very different. Also I'd imagine they'd have enough trouble making just London, let alone any other cities or countryside as well. But anyway, I'm pretty sure it's basically confirmed as San Andreas.

If its confirmed for SA it'll probably still find its way into my game library somehow.
I hope they bring back all the hiden challenges you used to get like Kill Frenzies and Packages.
The countryside is just grass hills with the odd clump of trees every few miles with a house every 3 but meh

This would be incredibly cool. They would have to give it a different name though....

How long ago? Cause you know there was this game called LA Noire.

Then again R* did only publish that.

Ahh ninja'd.

LA Noire was only published by Rockstar games, although it seems possible?

I would like that as well. But I'm not sure Rockstar could have a game set in Paris and not make every NPC a French steriotype, which would eventually get really boring.
Not to mention the poor French accents.

Honestly, I'm less concerned about the location than I am about the story and gameplay. I hope they keep GTAIV's driving and shooting, but they need to have the same sort of humor the earlier titles were famous for. GTAIV's story was too grim to feel like a GTA game for the most part.

I'd rather keep the same level of seriousness and let Saints Row 3 handle the silly.

Saints Row seems a little *too* over the top from what I've seen of it though. The PS2 GTAs managed to strike a pretty good balance between seriousness and fun with its story and humor.

Some of it was still in GTAIV, especially TBOGT, but it still felt more like The Godfather than a GTA game to me.
