I just bought a Steelseries 3GC Controller but the anolog st

So I bought this 22 dollar Steelseries 3GC Controller for my PC so I could play my old games on my comp, and use a controller for various games.

And it's all fine and dandy, it works great, the input was fine, but the anolog stick..ugh..

Ok so you know how when you turn the anolog stick on a 360 or PS3 controller, it's based off of a multipoint axis that allows for a reading basically whenever you turn it, it's being registered even when you slightly move the anolog stick. But this thing seems to be based off of a 4 point axis, and that's bad. Is there any way to change this?

What I mean is..

you know how when you're playing an FPS, and you move the anolog stick to aim. You can move it up..down..left..right..but you can also move it north east..north west..south east..south west..etc..and it actually turns. But this thing doesn't do that. It's based off a 4 point axis it seems, strictly north south east and west. So when I'm playing FPS games, my anolog stick makes it so hard to aim. I mean, I look right, and it's a HARD RIGHT no matter what, I can't aim, it just goes one of four ways..

So when I went to map the controls to the controller, it said you know anolog UP, I clicked map and then moved my stick up, and it accepted it. But surely there must be a way to make it so the controls map it to at least an EIGHT axis instead of 4? Even 8 would be a monumental improvement over this..

A lot of the older PC FPS games were based off of the 4 point system. They don't really translate all that well to modern PCs and modern controllers. Remember, a lot of the old games were keyboard only, then they switched to the keyboard and mouse configuration.

Back in the day I used to play with the arrow keys. I found WASD goofy. Then when they started making games with the mouse in mind I was forced to learn the WASD configuration and it took me a very long time to learn it. In fact, I don't play any PC games unless I have a ZBoard that I can swap out key layouts completely. Because with the ZBoard it moves the arrow keys to the left hand side of the keyboard and relabels them WASD. I can not play any games with a standard keyboard. It has to be a Zboard or I don't play.

I'm afraid you may be stuck with the 4 point axis unless you try to play mouse/keyboard or just keyboard depending on what game.

It's just that I know the controllers for the systems you played these games on had at least 8 point axis anolog support..because I could aim in THOSE games lol.
