AMD Bulldozer Released

So AMD Bulldozer came out today officially. Some of the benchmarks are showing much less performance than initially expected. There is also a good video of Hitler reacting to it. (Cant link)

I for one, am glad I jumped to Intel.

Very disappointing, I'm glad I bought my i5-2500K even more so now though.

It's a great architecture for database and web servers. Most desktop tasks don't take enough advantage of multi-threading to make it a hit for home users, though. Lightly-threaded activities (like most games) still benefit more from more power per core over having more cores. After seeing the benchmarks for the server versions of this architecture some time ago I pretty much expected the benchmark results that are being released today for the desktop parts.

So it finally came huh? I wonder if it broke the record of how many times its release was held back  (Unless I am thinking of something else..)

But ya glad I went to Intel as well :D
