31 hours to finish the single player campaign

Well, it took me 31 hours to finish the single player campaign and I hated every minute of it! No! just kidding about hating it. I loved it in fact!

It did take me 31 hours to complete the campaign. I tend to be a the kind of person though that talks to everyone, played all the races in the raceyard, and finished most of the jobs on the job boards and did as many side quests that I could find. I also search every room in every level to find that secret stash of ammo of weapon upgrade schematics.

I thought that the graphics were not that great until I created a rage config file as most had suggested. I found it made a difference for me. I don't particularly like the use of green and blue for the shaded area's of the game instead of using black. But all in all I thought the game after that was beautiful, maybe textures were still blurry up close and flat, but I can overlook that because the game, to me, was still very beautiful.

I also enjoyed the game play. I loved the death and dying animations of the enemy AI. Far too often do game dev's only have one or two death animations. So it was awesome to see the variety of death and enjury animations in this game.

I spent 31 hours and I still didn't do everything the game offered. I didn't find all the sewer levels. There are 9 in total. I only found a handful. I didn't play any of the gambling mini games.

I did not experience the bugs that plagued many pc users. I did have to however, as I already mentioned, create a Rage config to make the textures or graphics look sharper. Still, for me I enjoyed every minute of this game and it was well worth the money I spent.

Was this game of the year? Not necessarily, but for me it was one heck of a ride. A 31 hour ride that I did not rush through. I hope that ID Software comes out with some patches to fix the pc specific bugs soon. Once that happens, perhaps people will be able to enjoy the game for what it is. I also hope they come out with a High Resolution or Texture pack that will take advantage of the pc's higher end power.

Anyway, that was my 2 cents worth. I hope many, many more people get to enjoy the game like i did. Thanks for listening to me.
