My 3 Cents

First off,
10 hours for a game that at heart is really only a single player experience is getting really old. I hate to bring it up but the way this damn economy is going now a days 60 dollars for a 10 hour experience is a f*cking slap in the face. A few years back I used to constantly make fun of all the nerds that constantly continued to complain about the content and quality of games that asked for 60 dollars. See I had a great job and throwing away 60 dollars was nothing to me. However, being on a budget, I completely understand spending 60 dollars on a game that 1) gives you 10 hours of gameplay 2)has several major glitches/bugs and lack of customization… ect, ect (offcource I’m referring towards the pc version.) Did these guys really spend 5 years making this game? I’m sorry, but I just don’t see it. 5 years for a 10 hour experience? Really?!?!!!?

On another note, Does anyone else feel like they are playing Doom 3 when they play this game? Mechanics wise I feel like I’m playing the same damn game. That’s not a good thing! The same big ass, bubbly, oversized powerless weapons! It feels completely retro in a bad way. I’m not saying everything has to feel like COD or Battlefield, but in essence, those are two great examples of modern mechanics that feel great when you fire a weapon. Take a look at the new Dues Ex, or even the great S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Talk about a game that gives you a whole lot of bang for your money. I’ve easily put in over 100 hours in just the first Stalker game. Furthermore, to make matters worse, you have a developer that just like that comes out and says…”F#ck You, take it or leave it, This is just the way the industry works.” Nice. Real nice.

I’d hate to say it, but more and more I come to the realization of why games get pirated all the time. And not just pc tittles, we all know that console games get pirated left and right as well.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not condoning piracy, but [censored] it!!!! Now I know why people say “F$ck you, you think I’m going to pay for this?”

P.S…Was I the only one that felt the driving bits were completely filler? I mean, at least give me the option of a first person view while I’m driving.

hmmm. i got nearly 30 hours off gameplay on the PC, and it seemed pretty fresh to me?

did you do any exploration and do alot of talking to people in the towns and wastelands?

Personally, I thought the offroading and race mechanics were very well implemented.....

30 hours? How dude? I talked to everyone and did all sidejobs and just clocked in a bit over 10 hours. I don't see how it took you 30 hours.
