- Animation system would be awesome satisfaction
- RAGE assetts would refresh DM setting
- incorporate race deathwatch with traditional DM
- have 2 versions of DM: everyone is equal in stats another with What you character is in SP , think WOW battlegrounds and TF
- create classes ala TF
- game balance would be hard with so many ammo types
- include engineering items, exclude sentries?
- give community vanilla DM first and then keep iterating
- add dedicated server support but if it's to much of an overhaul work with what you have.
- integrate leaderboards and matchmaking system
- include a handful of maps at first
- charge us for how much work you do with it, it is the iterative approach mayb 10 bucks if it's a full blown thing I would pay full price for it but I'm guessing sweet spot would be 20-30 bucks with the fan base.
- Id dont underestimate how well you can do in traditional DM without having to really add in recreate the wheel
- community maps would comebout the wood work...old schoolapsnwould be potted over
- fat mammas is essentially a railgun in mechanic, would love to see it leave a trail ala q2 or q3
- pop rockets are essentially the old school quake RL
- I'm starting to really want DM morenthan Singleplayer although would love more campaign stuff
- hire some respected deathmatch modders to team if lacking manpower or perhaps have splash damage work under guidance.
- add more coop maybe opposiinf team coop deathmatch with mutants, bandits and authority in the mix
Those are some ideas, but I think some of these bullet points I've listed might require more effort than id is able to make with the focus now on patching, SP campaign and of course Doom 4 but I would think adding vanilla DM might be great ROI for id and perhaps spark a crapton of excitement and sales for the franchise.
