Do you also think that time goes fast?

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 8:58 am

As the titles says, I ask you I you feel like me - that time goes by too fast. You wake up, do whatever you do, and all the sudden its evening. Or when its monday and its a new week, and then its already weekend. Its just fast.I have a job right now, but I used to be on what we in denmark have as a sort of "welfare" meaning that I had no job, but I could still get money untill I could find at job. Well even with no job, and my days went by with only playing games all day, and even then I thought that the days went by fast.

Sometimes it feel like you only got time enough to do a few things pr day, and is planning weeks ahead because of limited time.

Im 21 years, but about 2-3 years ago I thought that I had all the time I wanted and a single day was way longer than it feels like now.

Well, I gues its true what they say;"Time goes faster as you get older".

Note: Dont look at this post as a rant, im just asking if you feel the same.

I think it just depends on what you are doing. If your doing something you can not STAND doing then time goes by really slow but on the other hand if you do something you actually have fun doing like hanging with friends, gaming etc then time flies by.

I felt like this during the school term, eight weeks just flew past. But now that we're on holiday again time seems to have slowed right down :P

Time always travels at the same speed, the only thing that changes is our perception of time.

The last few weeks have flown by. Now I'm suddenly worrying that I'm not a teenager much longer and there's so much I have yet to do.

Back at school, time moved so sluggishly. I felt like three hours had passed and we'd still be in the first 10 minutes of math class. Now here in college, I seriously do not have enough time in the day to keep up with all my responsibilities. :shakehead:

Yet, I still manage to find time to come here... :whistling:

No way! I'm sure that I, along with the OP and everyone else in this thread, was under the assumption that the speed of time fluctuates greatly depending on seemingly random things like whether or not one is bored or if a clock is being looked at or not! Thanks for clearing that up for us!

In all seriousness, lately I've felt like everything just drags on, regardless of what I'm doing. I work 6 days a week and it's very dull and boring and it seems like it takes forever. Today is my only day off and, hey, it's only 4:18PM here. Feels like the day should be over already.

Depends. Day to day, the hours time to drag; year to year, I wonder where my life went.

The bad news : just saw your age on your profile. It really does get faster, and faster, the older you get, and sometimes you feel like a whole year has just vanished.
The good news : you are still young. Plenty of time to enjoy life, whatever speed it's going at for you right at the moment.

A whole year? I once forgot an entire decade had happened and thought I was still in my 30s. No, I'm not joking, sadly. :(

That's how I feel. Now, I'm only a sophomore in High School, but this year has been amazing and I wish time would slow down and let me enjoy it a bit more
