I just downloaded Rage today(steam) I had no idea of the issues with this supposedly Triple-A title. I've been wrapped up in other great games and wasn't paying that much attention to Rage. Games that have amazed me, and were a joy to load up and play are: Deus Ex, Mass Effec 2, Bastion, Fallout New Vegas...and more. So when I came up for air from playing these games I ordered Rage from steam. I never thought I'd say this , but I feel a tad ripped off. I have a solid mid to high end rig. I can slice through modern, newly released games on high settings like butter. This game runs terrible..artifacing..blurred textures all over the place. Huge screen sparkling effects in a bright green colour. The sound is well, terrible...Anyway from looking in on this forum today I can only wish I had yesterday. No wonder Carmac is cursing mad. I just read the interview with him. What a shame. This is such a bad mark on ID's reputation. If I had to rate the game.....I'd give it a solid 4 out of 10.
