I love rage but I don't understand some of id's decisions.

I don't understand id's reasoning behind the little things. I know these are not huge deals but once you start adding all the little things up it gets pretty frustrating. It's like id took a page out of Microsoft's piss people off for no reason book.

1. Crouch toggle locked. I play shooters constantly and can't stand to have my crouch on toggle. I get that you are too lazy to build in the option but to have the option then RESTRICT it for no reason? Do people cheat somehow in mutliplayer with it OH wait there is no real mutliplayer.
2. No achievements for completing coop games by yourself. Once again no logic behind this. The entire game was obviously too easy and I go to play these modes AND I ACTUALLY DIED ON ONE. Personally these modes are way better than the entire game in my opinion and I don't care about achievements but why disable them?
3. Beat the game and you can't resume? I beat the game and had one quicksave the whole time because I honestly didnt think about it. I knew the quest I was doing would finish the game but I assumed like most other games I would be able to come back and redo leftover quests. NOPE.
4. Real achievements. Again I don't care much about achievements but how about some real ones? Like beating the entire game with only a pistol or beating instances with only melee. Seems like they could have fit those requirements in over 7 year development cycle. Having horrible achievements like beat this part of the game is something I will never understand. How about an achievement for installing it?

It just seems that id is deliberately frustrating users for no point at all. I have no desire for another playthrough. Perhaps if there was achievements that were incredibly hard to get and show off (not that any of my friends bought this LOLS) or the ability to resume after game finish I would put more hours in. Unfortunately this is another game that will sit in my steam forever. So much potential.

Considering you don't care about acheivements you would like to see alot more of them in the game :).

I agree on a couple of your points, the game may be slightly to easy and not being able to go back to complete quests you forgotten is annoying. But you stated you love RAGE and to not play the game for such minor issues seems a bit drastic.

real achievement? I don't know whether you are joke. how can you beat giant mutant or midsize mutant with melee or pistol? you can't. you need rocket launcher. you doesn't make any sense. plus, it's not Deus Ex Human Revolution game which need that kind of achievement. but it is already there. Rage is more like oldschool shooter. so achievements are fairly fine.

by the way, I agree that beating the legend of wasteland by yourself doesn't apply to achievements. yeah, it's ridiculous. I beat it several times by myself. it's easy. other games, which have similar achievements, don't give me issue like that. if I beat it, I get achievements. Rage is only game I can't.

crouch toggle lock maybe your case. I like toggle on. it's all about convenience. I don't want to hold my [censored] key for crouch during the game. it's just stupid.
