Less people playing RAGE online?

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 5:10 am

On a PS3 and tonight I tried to get matched up for online MP with either racing or Wasteland Legends and the game didn't seem to be able to find a match!

Way back at RAGE's launch I friend requested people from the forums here and can see all have moved on and are now playing Skyrim, MW3 or even back to Black Ops.

Yes BO is still busy with players even though it's one year old. The masses like the TDM not road rage.
Heck I am still playing MW2 (2 years old).
I play RAGE SP or Waste Legends Solo it's still fun and I have clocked around 100 hours.

Yea, it is incredibly hard to find a match to play with. That's something that I talked about in my review as well.

Speaking of which, would anyone like to play Wasteland Legends on nightmare difficulty on PC? Somebody who wouldn't die on every enemy or would have a score higher than my score divided by ten.
If so, please PM me your Steam profile page (or whatever other means of communication there are for playing RAGE on PC).

Doesn't it feel like the "Rage, $60 open beta has closed"?

I think the community is speaking back - I check the forums every few days to see if there is news of idstudio (iknowrite) - I'm done with the game and not really looking to pay for DLC, so if I can maybe make some maps/play some community ones I'll try to enjoy the game again... I expect someone to make a CO-OP mod that's actually worthwhile.

/shrug - so in response I think everyone is 'over' rage, Skyrim is out and bethesda is smiling at the end of the day. ::sad face::

Rage does not target the same audience as MW2/BO/MW3 - i stopped playing COD after CODWAW

I still play COD4 and COD2 and some COD5 zombies from time to time.

Sure they need to target COD players. It's all about making money.

I am happy at least there won't be any car combat in Doom4 MP and you will see jump in sales when it comes out
providing it's smooth etc etc.

you want them to 'sellout'?

idc if games make the companies money or not, just as long as the companies make solid games (mind you solid games are what makes these companies money  )
and if a company makes a poor game they deserve to lose money imo.

No, just to sell say 4-5 mil for RAGE 2/ Doom 4.
I want Id to do well especially with their brilliant SP and MP map design. Honestly i am tired of COD MP.
Basically I want id to share the pie with the big FPS guns whether it's GOW, BF or COD's.

if they don't put out some dlc there wont be a RAGE 2, unfortunately. rage felt short lacking content, and that's what the biggest problem is......... i think.
it would be awesome if RAGE blew up into a huge title that was in every ones house. but for a game to focus on single player content, this game is really lacking the content part. they could have done way more with side quest. honestly there was what less than a dozen side quest? all from job board. i would have assumed with all the npc's that maybe one would have something they needed you to do for them. side quest should be easy to add lots of. actually it should be easier to come up with stupid side quest than main story quests. usually when you hear of a game having side quest, there more side quests then main story quest, like more then double. and for the size of the game(3 disks for xbox) you expect more then what you got, seriously! they really didn't make use of the 'wasteland'.

you don't have to 'sellout' and copy what everyone else is doing to 'make it'(all fps seem to copy what COD did/does cause they all want a piece of that pie). they were on the right path with RAGE, something different not cod like, but imo RAGE fell short with content, and lacking re-playability. you wouldn't think it would be hard for them to have added way more side quest than they did. and they could have made way more use of the wasteland, for example having camps of bandits or mutants you could go fight(at any time), and they could have used these camps as part of side quests where you have to clear the camps to get whatever.

hopefully we see some dlc soon that finishes the game(or continues the story further), keeps the world open and adds countless side quest to keep us busy..... assuming there's anyone left by then :foodndrink:

i loved everything about RAGE but it just felt like it was missing alot of content :P
